The Church of Ananias is considered a masterpiece of the Damascene heritage. It was designed in the orthodox Damascene style. The church dates back more than 2000 years in the Roman bag. There are two Russian banners directly under the roof of the church, one for the master and the other for the lady. The roof of the church is surrounded by poplar and willow trees. The church also contains two thrones, one of which is patriarchal and the second is episcopal. The patriarchal throne was gifted from the Church of Our Lady, the Roman Catholic Patriarch. The church is located in the oldest neighborhood of Bab Touma in Damascus, and the church is located underground.
